What most website migrations to HubSpot get wrong
Three patterns show up again and again when businesses try to move a site onto HubSpot.
Open-ended scoping
Agencies quote by the hour, the project blows out past the original budget, and the migration stalls indefinitely.
Lost SEO and tracking
Redirects get missed, rankings drop, and GA4, Meta, and LinkedIn tracking breaks in the handover, which is often worse than not migrating at all.
"It still technically works"
Businesses invest in HubSpot for Sales or Marketing, but leave the website on the old platform because replacing it feels riskier than leaving it alone, even though the website and the CRM never actually talk to each other.
What's included in the Content Hub migration
- Up to 100 pages migrated (larger sites scoped and quoted after audit)
- Fixed five-week delivery: audit, redirect mapping, page build, QA, launch
- Full redirect mapping so search rankings and existing tracking data carry through
- Forms rebuilt with native HubSpot sync, so form fills flow straight into the CRM
- Existing tracking retained: GA4, Meta, LinkedIn
- Security and performance improvements included in the build
- 30 days of post-launch support after go-live
How long does it take?
Five weeks, fixed, from kickoff to live site, followed by 30 days of post-launch support.
Audit
Full review of the current site, page count, and any extras.
Redirect mapping
Every URL mapped so rankings and tracking carry through.
Page build
Pages rebuilt natively in HubSpot Content Hub.
QA
Forms, tracking, and redirects tested before launch.
Launch
Live and trained, with 30 days of post-launch support.
What this migration actually does for the business

Who this is for, and who it isn't
This is for you if
- Your site runs on WordPress or another platform, and you're ready to bring it onto HubSpot without an open-ended custom build quote
- You already run HubSpot Marketing Hub or Sales Hub, but your website sits somewhere else
- You're already paying for Content Hub, but your live site isn't actually built on it yet
- You're a construction business, or any business, wanting a fixed-price, fixed-timeline path onto Content Hub
This isn't for you if
- Your site is larger than 100 pages with extensive custom functionality; that's scoped and quoted separately
- You want a full custom-designed rebuild or new brand system rather than a like-for-like migration
What we've learned working with Australian businesses
- Data residency. HubSpot's Australian data centre has been live since 2024. For clients in regulated industries, we set the new site up on AU hosting from the start.
- Australian Privacy Principles. Form data, cookie consent, and contact record handling are configured to meet APP requirements, not just GDPR defaults.
- Domain and DNS transfer. Sequencing DNS changes, SSL, and email routing correctly, with the full cutover handled, not just the page build.
- .com.au and email continuity. Nameserver and MX record changes confirmed so they won't interrupt business email during the migration window.
How much does a Content Hub migration cost?
Flat, for up to 100 pages. Larger sites are quoted after a short audit. No open-ended scoping, no hourly billing.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a HubSpot migration take?+
Five weeks, fixed, from kickoff to a live, trained site, for sites up to 100 pages. Covers audit, redirect mapping, page build, QA and launch.
Is HubSpot good for SEO, and will migrating hurt my rankings?+
Yes to the first, no to the second. HubSpot Content Hub has full control over metadata, redirects, and site structure. The actual risk in any migration is a rushed or careless move, not the destination. Every migration here includes full redirect mapping specifically to protect existing rankings and tracking data.
What happens to my existing GA4, Meta, and LinkedIn tracking?+
It's retained. Tracking is carried over as part of the migration, not rebuilt from scratch.
What happens to my domain when I migrate to HubSpot?+
Nothing changes about who owns or registers it. HubSpot isn't a domain registrar, so your domain stays wherever it's registered now. We update the DNS records so it points at your new HubSpot-hosted site, sequenced carefully so email routing and SSL aren't interrupted.
What if my site has more than 100 pages?+
Still doable, just scoped and quoted separately after a short audit rather than covered by the flat $4,995 rate.
Do I need to already be on HubSpot to migrate?+
No. This works whether you're new to HubSpot, already running Marketing or Sales Hub without a Content Hub website, or already paying for Content Hub but hosting your live site elsewhere.
What's included in the $4,995 price, and what isn't?+
Included: audit, redirect mapping, page build, QA, launch, form rebuilds with HubSpot sync, and 30 days of post-launch support. Not included: sites over 100 pages, or a full custom design rebuild rather than a like-for-like migration; both are quoted separately.
Who owns the website once it's built?+
You do. Full stop. You own the HubSpot Content Hub subscription, the domain, the content, and the admin access. We hand over complete documentation, so you're never locked into working with us to keep the site running.
Can I migrate from any platform, or only WordPress?+
Any platform. WordPress is the most common starting point, but the same fixed-price process applies regardless of what you're migrating from.
HubSpot CMS or WordPress, which is right for my business?+
If your website and your CRM live in different systems today, HubSpot CMS closes that gap: forms sync straight to contact records, and page performance ties directly to pipeline data. WordPress still wins on raw plugin flexibility and low upfront cost. This migration is for businesses that have decided the CRM connection matters more than plugin flexibility.
Why choose iBusinessFormula over a general web developer for this?+
Because the destination is HubSpot, not just a new website. As a Platinum Solutions Partner, the migration is built to make full use of Content Hub's CRM sync, form tracking, and personalisation from day one, rather than landing a generic site on top of HubSpot.
